Since this is cricket and Stuart Broad related, I'll keep to it and start off by saying I'm a huge cricket fan, the Australian team being my favourite I'm afraid! I think test cricket is the best form of the game hands down. I'm a tiny supporter in stature, but a big fan at heart.
I've always followed T20 cricket and that's when I first saw Stuart Broad play in a match between England and India. I remember that it was 19/09/07 when he was unfortunately hit for 6 sixes in an over. The tables have turned now and he has become and amazing all-rounder! :)
Since then it's been the same craze. He's grown since he first started playing cricket. He's now such a brilliant cricketer! He became a hero in England for winning the Ashes, which kind of sucked for this Ausssie supporter, to be honest!
Now he has a new role as England's T20 captain! He has to be one of my favourite cricketers, without a doubt. I love how he appreciates us Broadettes and our support for him.
Unfortunately I've been awfully unlucky when it comes to my chances of meeting him due to injury. When I was positive about meeting him during the IPL last year, he had an injury that didn't even allow him to play. That was the 2nd time I missed him. Then when England had a series against India in October 2011 the England team were scheduled to stay in my city for an entire week! But again he was injured! Typical of my luck, right?
At least I've met a great bunch of amazing girls through our passion for the game and our love of Stuart Broad. It's nice to share in our support of cricket.
To finish, I really hope to meet Stuart some day! *fingers crossed*
