Hey there everyone! I’m Robyn, I’m 23 and live in Devon but originally from Warwickshire, lived in Spain throughout my teenage years! I became part of The Broadettes officially a few months ago, although I have always adored Stuart. I remember the first time I saw him play on TV, it was back in 2008 during the test series against South Africa (I think! Sometimes I struggle to remember that far back, even though it wasn’t that long ago!). But it was during The Ashes series in 2009 when he shone through the most for me. I could tell from then on he would go far from his sheer force and determination, and indeed he has :)
I first became interested in cricket back in 2005 during the Ashes test series, I won’t lie though, I’m even more obsessive over it now! I just think it is such an exciting sport, and the people that don’t share the same passion just don’t understand how much hard work goes in to it, and training etc, trying to be the best you can be in whatever you do. This is why I admire Stuart so much, he does everything to the best of his abilities and doesn’t like to let anyone down. As well as this, he is such a thoughtful, talented young man and will continue to be.
Another great thing that he is part of is his family’s charity The Broad Appeal, helping to raise funds and hopefully in the near future find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease. He should be proud of himself for being part of such an amazing cause, and I will forever respect him for this.
I could talk about him all day, but I think you’ll all agree with me when I say this, because I know all The Broadettes do, he is a very very attractive man, which is just an added bonus to every other brilliant trait he has! He is without a doubt my favourite cricketer ever, he has done England proud, and I will continue to support him for the foreseeable future. And also, thank you to everyone who supports us!!
